I bloody love a shoot just for the heck of it, to celebrate how far you’ve come, how strong you are, and how amazing you look doing it. And what better way to start your 30’s than by channeling the 80’s?! I did this shoot at Romy’s house the day before her 30th birthday and 80’s fancy dress party to celebrate. She’s one of the most fearless women I’ve ever met and I’m a little obsessed with how these photos turned out. Gin is always a welcome addition to our relationship but it wasn’t even needed this time and she rocked it… Madonna has nothing on this woman.
On a cold day in November I took over a couple of rooms in Uppingham’s beautiful Falcon Hotel for an intimate boudoir shoot featuring lingerie from The Chameleon Boutique, jewellery from the very talented Ruth Wood, models from Aspire Model Management, Hair by Kelly & Samantha from Hair & Booty in Leicester, Flowers from Earthworks in Uppingham and makeup by Abi Corby.
All in all a very successful styled shoot now featured in Rutland Pride Magazine just in time for Valentines.
This whole thing makes me want to do more boudoir!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of being behind the camera for my first romantic boudoir shoot at a local hotel. I was lucky enough to be shooting two gorgeous models from AMM wearing lingerie donated to me by the Chameleon Boutique, a unique store with branches in both Oakham and Stamford (the Rutland area).
Also present at the shoot were stylists from Hair & Booty in Leicester and the very talented Abby Corby to make sure everyone’s makeup was in place.
I was also lucky enough to have various floral arrangements from Earthworks, situated on the Uppingham high street as well as some one off pieces of jewellery from the uber talented Ruth Wood who sells her work through her own website as well as the ‘Made’ gallery in Uppingham.
Add all that to the beautiful rooms at The Falcon Hotel and you’ll believe that I was more than honoured to be the one who got to shoot it all. And shoot I did.
Here is a sneak peek…and the only peek you’ll get till the New Year I’m afraid as the pictures are destined for a local magazine!
A very fun and successful shoot, huge thanks to all involved. x
