Following a rather dramatic start in A&E to kick off their engagement, Alexis and Jo ensured their dream day at Barnsdale was nothing but something to smile about.

Both ceremony and reception took place at Barnsdale Lodge Hotel, Oakham. A short distance from Rutland Water, one of the couples favourite spots, the beautiful building and stunning grounds provided the perfect setting for their big day.

I bloody love my job and never tire of being in a position to capture those fuzzy first moments. Seeing these two walk down the aisle and see each other in their gowns for the first time was EPIC!! I love that Jo and Alexis chose their own dresses without actually seeing or knowing anything about the other. You wouldn’t guess to look – they did exceptionally well with both dresses not only being absolute beauts but also complimenting the other. Look at these absolute stunners:

Alexis got her two piece from Rare Bridal Studio and Jo’s elegant creation was by Ditsy Rose Bridal Boutique in Nuneaton.

I said it then and I’ll say it again, Alexis, you give me serious hair envy!! Most people would be daunted undergoing a drastic cut on the morning of their wedding but Alexis had All Saints Hair work their magic and showcase lots of stylish skill.

This wedding was pure joy from start to finish. Even the part where I vowed to join CrossFit gym and learn to benchpress (I will do it just you wait..) Big love for this pair and all the other lovely local suppliers;

Stunning flowers were from Corby florist To Have and To Hold

One of my favourite touches, giving me all the Summer festival feels, was the Camper van from Great Glen Camper Hire.

You can find the awesome show stopping Converse from Next

Roll on Summer. I really can’t wait for the next instalment of sun soaked ceremonies and outdoor celebrating. Check out another glorious, fun filled, Summer wedding HERE
