So I seemingly only blog about Halloween or charity fundraising and I’m okay with that, especially because this one is both! It’s no secret that I love Halloween and I was a little heartbroken to learn that Rutland Pumpkins is taking a hiatus this year, but they have more than earned a break and all is not lost… My friends at Rutland Farm Park love Halloween as much as I do and we are teaming up to offer a day of photo shoots on Thursday 30th October! Pictures at this time of year make me happy for so many reasons but the colours, the autumn light and the inclination to get a bit spooky are more than enough to get us started.
As was the case last year, I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from these shoots to CHOOSE LOVE who do absolutely amazing work. Choose Love does whatever it takes to help refugees and displaced people with everything from lifesaving search and rescue to food and legal advice. Their support is needed now more than ever. I will be donating £10 from every farm park shoot this year to the cause, and if you know me or follow me on social media you should also keep an eye on the house this year again too…the decorations have started to go up!
I will be at the Farm Park from 10.30am to 4pm on Thursday 30th October and I would absolutely love for lots of you to join me and help support this amazing charity at the same time. If you are keen to dress up, being ghosts or sticking pumpkins on your head then I’m here for it! I’m also happy to partake in some photoshop wizardry in order to create some particularly spooky shots if that’s what you’re after but I will say that normal clothes and some of your favourite people is more than enough for a successful photo shoot so please don’t be put off.
For the second year running I AM NOT INCREASING MY PRICES. I will be charging £100 for half an hour which will include 5 high res images for download and the option to buy more should you wish. £10 from each shoot will go to CHOOSE LOVE. There are 7 slots up for grabs on a first come first served basis. I’m not precious so even if it’s raining I will be there but I do understand if you’d rather not, though there is woodland area that is perfect for photos and comes with shelter if needed. With that in mind the fee you pay is non refundable but can be put against a future shoot if you need to cancel. If you need to re book for another time it can be a 30 minute shoot with 5 images included but the shoot will still have to take place in Rutland. By booking you agree to these terms.
