This little lot mean the world to me and so I jumped at the chance to photograph them. When I left their house after shooting I got a message, worried that it had been total and utter bedlam and did I actually manage to get anything?! And in a word…YES! Crazy family photos at home are one of my favourite things to capture and if the baby is screaming or the toddler is having a tantrum then so be it. That shit happens.
However, in amongst the madness are also moments of calm you don’t realise I am capturing so I can always show the peace alongside the chaos. When I handed over these photos they couldn’t of been happier, telling me I had captured them exactly as they are, and how they love to be.
Family is as it is, I love seeing it that way.
